The importance of formally designing in an opportunity to discuss and provide feedback

The ability to discuss and give and receive feedback is critical to workplace performance, and should therefore be included in an authentic assessment activity. The value of feedback as both guidance and a means of determining areas for improvement is vital to improved performance. 

Whilst reflection is dealt with specifically within the fourth critical element, it is acknowledged that there will always be a requirement for a degree of reflection to have occurred to enable appropriate discussion to take place and feedback to occur.
