This element guides the assessment designer to consider the fidelity of the environment within which the assessment is to occur, as well as the use of any tools that would be considered appropriate to this environment. As a ‘real world’ environment might be sometimes hard to recreate in a training environment, the extent of simulation required to accommodate the assessment should be determined.
